I know hardly anyone is going to read this, but as it's an art specific post I thought I'd share it here for my record. I was just looking at my past artwork and marveling at how much I've grown as an artist and designer since working at USJ. Although I had been drawing for ages, design is new to me, and working with veterans in the design and art industry for the past several months has really sharpened my design senses. Specifically, I know which forms need to be focused and which ones faded out; which colors work harmoniously and which don't; etc. I've also gotten dramatically better at using Photoshop (COLOR DODGE IS THE SECRET TO LIFE).

Deskwarming days are here! (Which means instead of teaching I sit at in my office and do whatever I want.) Unfortunately that means I have to bring my big heavy macbook and tablet to school, but, eh. I'll survive. I'm hoping to post up at least 3 drawings a week. Technically I only have 2 weeks of deskwarming, and one of those weeks I have to prepare for my winter camp... then I have winter camp then I'm taking a vacation to Cambodia. Woohoo! Then I think February is deskwarming again. Hallelujah! I'll be spending most of my time improving my artwork.
